Tapas Acupressure Technique, or TAT was developed by Tapas Fleming, a gifted acupuncturist and healer. It's wonderfully effective for clearing allergies, old traumas, bad memories, stuck feelings -- in short, anything that you would use any other energy-based technique to clear. It has its own feel to it, and some of my clients prefer the gentle, more trancelike feeling of TAT.

I find it helpful when I want to focus in on something and see what comes up, or for when I'm having trouble articulating what it is that's bothering me.
Here's a copy of the handout I give to people so they can use it on their own:
TAT – Tapas Acupressure Technique
The TAT Pose:
1. Put your thumb about an inch above the inside corner of your eye.
2. Put your ring (fourth) finger on the other inside corner.3. Put your third finger in between your eyebrows, and up about ½ inch.
4. Put your other hand on the back of your head, so that your little finger is touching the occipital ridge, and your thumb is just above the neckline.
Very light pressure!
The Four Steps of TAT:
Hold the pose for 1 – 4 minutes, or until you feel a change occur, while:
1. Focusing on the problem or negative statement. Really immerse yourself into it as fully as possible, saying (mentally) all the things you feel, feeling all the emotions and sensations, letting it all just flow through.
After holding, take a deep breath, and check in with the issue again. If needed, hold the pose again, focusing on whatever remains of the original issue.
2. Holding a positive thought in relation to the issue. This could be something like, “I feel loved,” or, “I feel safe and centered,” or “I have a peaceful and harmonious relationship with ____.” Whatever expresses either the opposite of the problem you were focusing on, or is what you would like to feel in relation to the problem.
3. Focusing on the origins of the problem. You may not know what the origins are, but your unconscious does. Direct it to go heal the origins, and it will. You can also just focus on thanking your unconscious for healing them.
4. Focusing on healing the storage spaces or resonances of the issue. It may have been stored somewhere in your body or energy field, or anywhere. Just be open to letting your unconscious heal wherever there might be resonances left of the energy pattern of the problem
